The first quarter of 2023 saw notable trends in the performance of the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Central America. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, highlights key metrics such as weekly downloads, active users, and revenue.

Uber - Request a ride experienced a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting with approximately 214K in late December and showing a slight dip to around 180K by the end of March. Despite this, there was an uptick in early March, peaking at about 204K. The app's weekly active users displayed a general upward trend, rising from around 6.3M to approximately 6.7M by the end of the quarter.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides maintained a relatively stable download rate throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads hovered around 172K to 197K, with a peak in the week of March 13 at approximately 197K. The active user base showed a consistent increase, starting from around 4.7M and growing to over 5.2M by the end of March.

inDrive. Save on city rides saw a steady climb in downloads, beginning at about 137K in late December and reaching a high of approximately 164K by mid-March. Weekly active users also grew from around 2.9M to 2.8M during the same period, reflecting a sustained user engagement.

DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash had a relatively stable download rate, ranging from approximately 24K to 32K throughout the quarter. Active users remained consistent, fluctuating slightly but generally staying around 335K.
